THIS IS THE 4TH PATTERN IN THE SWISH AND FLICK COLLECTIVE, AND IS INSPIRED BY THE YULE BALL IN BOOK 4.

The Yule Ball is my favourite part of the book and the film. I really wanted to capture the feeling of being stood in the Great Hall, and being part of the festivities.

The lace pattern around the top of the leg depicts the beautiful windows that surround the Great Hall. The pretty twinkly stitch pattern that flows down from the windows and over the foot represents the magically frosted walls.

I used a yarn that gave me that feeling of sparkly frost, and would recommend a solid, tonal or delicately speckled to best show off the design.
