this project is totally inspired by the twirly skirt in “barefoot knits”, a book i love love love. i cast on the original pattern, but it wasn’t working up to the fit i was after, so i calculated my gauge, frogged it, and then came up with a new approach to the skirt.

my pattern remix is knit on circular needles, top-down and does not have as many increases - it still twirls, but i was able to achieve the closer fit i was after. also, i’ve chosen to use elastic in the waist, instead of a drawstring.
