Pattern description from No Sheep For You: “Designer Jillian Moreno says Rowan Summer Tweed is an unpredictable yarn unless you knit it tighter than ball-band gauge. But she loves it for its nubby texture and this tweedy ribbed baby is the result. Follow her pattern and you’ll get a rustic silk vest, perfect for any sweater guy (or girl). The silk content makes it a warm layer when the weather turns cool. A tip: when seaming, you might want to use a color-matched smooth cotton yarn. Summer Tweed can break easily when used for sewing.”

Finished Measurements: About 33.5 (37.5, 40.5, 44, 48, 52.5)“ (85 95, 103, 112, 122, 133.5 cm) chest circumference.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Notes from No Sheep for You:

  • This pattern is worked with twisted knit stitches on a reverse stockinette stitch background.
  • Twisted stitches are worked through their back loops every row (either k1tbl or p1tbl).
