Twisted-V Pullover
For this short pullover, Alice Halbeisen designed a twist on the classic V-neck style. She began with a wide band of twisted ribbing (the knit stitches are worked through the back loops) at the hem to draw in the pullover at the waist. Then she extended the ribs in a triangular pattern to the base of the neckline on the front to enhance the slimming look and worked a similar triangular pattern at each sleeve cuff. Alice defined and emphasized the neck and armhole edges with directional decreases that follow the lines of the shaping (called “full-fashioned” shaping). A narrow rolled edge adds a casual finish to the neckband.
Watch Eunny Jang demonstate the twisted-rib stitch (both flat and in the round) used in this pattern on YouTube.com. from Knitting Daily TV Season 2, Episode 204.
