The headband is worked in 3 sections. The first section consists of the first 15 rows where the pattern is worked in full with all the stitches.
The second section is worked in 2 pieces, working the first half, fasten off and then work the second half. The two pieces are then twisted or crossed so that one piece lays on top of the other.
In the last section, the two sections are joined together and worked in one piece to the end.
