An easy slip stitch pattern combined with garter stitch makes a lovely warm cowl. Worked in chunky weight yarn the slipped stitches really stand out.

Gauge is not important as cowl can be made smaller or larger depending on how many stitches are cast on and how many rows are completed.

Instructions give detail of stitch count if you wish to adapt the pattern to make a different size.

Amount of yarn required will depend on size of cowl. Approximately 135 yards (123 metres) is needed to make a cowl as shown in the picture.

Aran weight yarn would also work, use recommended needle size for chosen yarn. More stitches will need to be cast on and amount of yarn will differ from that stated in pattern.
