These mittens are the first in a series called Two Hands… The rest of the series will be published this Fall/Winter, one pattern at a time.

These mittens are knit from the cuff to the top of the hand, and feature a twisted rib on the cuff. The heart can be knit in using the intarsia method, or you can sew it on afterwards using duplicate stitch.

To make two mittens that are inversions of each other knit one following directions, and knit the second mitten using MC where CC is written, and using CC where MC is written. If you would like two mittens that match knit both mittens following the directions below.

The heart pattern on the mittens can be stitched on after the mittens are knit using duplicate stitch or knit into the mittens using the intarsia method.

The second pattern in the series has been released: Two Hands Make A Snowflake
