The pattern includes two sizes of mats. It calls for Cordonnet crochet cotton size 20. Yardage required is 350 yds for small mat, and 785 yds for large mat. Gauge: First two rounds of motif measure 1” in diameter.

The pattern is fully diagrammed using standard stitch symbols, and there is a written explanation as well, but it is necessary to read the diagram to make the mats.

The small mat includes 16 motifs, and the large mat has 39 motifs. Motifs are joined with a join-as-you-go method, and then an edging is done around the piece.
