two sides to the story shawl
An asymmetrical shawl worked sideways on the bias to create a nice diagonal striped effect.
Learn new techniques as you go: changing colors with the intarsia technique, making eyelet rows and binding off stitches to create little ‘spikes’.
This shawl consists of two parts; ‘one side of the story ’, has waves, stripes and a pretty golden edge, ‘the other side of the story’, has spikes and eyelet rows and is completely worked in golden yellow.
This shawl uses the intarsia technique to create that nice golden edge. If you are new to this technique I
recommend this video from VeryPink knits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtJdamqXlAU
It will not be explained in this pattern, since there are people far more capable of explaining it than me.
There is a chart included on the last page of the PDF to make the location of colorchanges easy to understand.
