I started teaching Beginning Crochet at my LYS in November 2011, and needed two simple patterns so I could teach my students how to read a pattern and to use the stitches learned in class. This is one of the patterns.

If you want a warmer scarf, stitch it in a worsted weight yarn. One skein of Comfort makes a scarf that can be crossed in front, like the picture of the tan scarf. For a long scarf, use two skeins.

As an option, choose a fingering or sock yarn and make the perfect Spring or Summer scarf. The white scarf (pictured) was made with two skeins of Tahki Yarns Cotton Classic Lite and a 6.00mm hook.
