Two-Way Shrug
Skill Level: Easy
I originally designed this shrug for a bride. She needed something to keep her warm without covering too much of her beautiful gown. Since that first design, I have knit so many of these! It’s such a great alternative to a sweater or a cardigan, and it looks great over just about anything. It can be worn open or buttoned closed. And it’s easy to knit: it’s all one piece!
XS (S, M, L, 1X)
25 (30, 35, 40, 45) yd CC
310 (370, 430, 485, 545) yd MC
This Shrug was originally knit with Lana Grossa Luxor (51% merino wool, 49% microfiber, each approximately 1¾ oz 50g and 165 yd 150m). This yarn is discontinued but many yarns can be substituted. Matching the fiber construction is not necessary, however, matching gauge is. Check out yarnsub.com for substitution ideas.
