This mystery top down sock pattern is being released over 4 weeks starting on 1st September 2026. Based upon the votes of the members of the UK Sock Knitters Ravelry Group, it is a combination of stranded colour work and textured design of twisted stitches, lace and cables.

All the colour work is contained in the first clue, and there are options for switching between sizes if you know that your colour work tension is significantly different to your textured knitting gauge.

I would recommend autumnal colours to work with the theme. My main colour is solid brown, contrast 1 is cream and contrast 2 is green. The yarn requirements stated are the minimums for contrast colours - but if you would like to use these for toes, heels or cuffs as well, then you would need additional length.
