This is a lace top inspired by the underwater world. The twisting lines of the lace motifs reminiscent the corals on the sea bottom while the beautifully scalloped edges both at the bottom and at the straps represent the gentle waves of the sea.

The top is knitted bottom up in an A-line construction up to the chest where the piece is divided into triangular front and back pieces in order to create better fit and flattering look. It is finished by a lace neckband knitted in the round.

All lace parts are both charted and with written instructions. The pattern is intended for a DK cotton or cotton blend yarn and offers a chance to use/learn a couple of unusual techniques as purlwise cable cast on in the middle of the round and m1 to create a hole. Those techniques are duly explained.
The pattern is suitable for adventurous/advanced beginners and/or intermediate knitters.
