“Another way of doing it” is rectangular shawl worked in Tunisian crochet. It is a variation of my previous pattern “One way of doing it”.

Skill level: Intermediate - Good knowledge of Tunisian crochet techniques is required to make this shawl. The construction is unusual. Even though this pattern is made in Tunisian crochet, you do NOT need a long Tunisian hook. A “normal” crochet hook on which you can hold maximum 11 loops will do.

The pattern includes
• a description of Tunisian crochet techniques used in this pattern (forward and return passes, Tunisian simple stitch, increase, decrease, connecting stitch)
• written explanations with schematics

The pattern is written using US crochet terminology.

Measurements: Approximately 75 cm wide x 155 cm long (25.5 inches x 61 inches). The shawl is adjustable in size. The pattern gives explanations on how to make this shawl narrower, wider, shorter or longer.

Materials:
Yarn: Any fine or super fine yarn type (category 1 or 2).
Yardage: approximately 1,200 m 1,315 yards/150 gr 5.28 ounces for the sample shown here in Katia Silk-Mohair, but may vary depending on how wide or long you want your shawl to be
Crochet hook size: 5.5 mm (US- J hook)
Yarn needle – to weave in ends
7 stitch markers

“Une autre manière de faire” est une étole rectangulaire faite au crochet tunisien. C’est une variation de mon précédent patron “Une manière de faire”.

Expérience requise : Intermédiaire - Une bonne connaissance des techniques de base du crochet tunisien est requise pour faire cette étole. Attention : la construction est inhabituelle. Vous n’avez pas besoin d’un long crochet tunisien pour réaliser ce patron. Un crochet « normal » sur lequel vous pouvez faire tenir 11 mailles suffit.

Le patron inclut :
