Ungfrú Akureyri
About the sweater
Miss Akureyri was created in collaboration with the girls at Garn í gangi in Akureyri. Naturally, I was absolutely thrilled when they asked me to design a lopapeysa pattern that would feature something characteristic of their beautiful town. They sent me photos of Akureyri Church, which you can see at the top of the yoke. Next comes a whale tail, which then transitions into traditional turf houses.
