Union
This is the first in a series of sock patterns that I consider to be ideal for knitting on the train. Simple, but not boring; some variety, some repetition; with charts that are easy to follow and easy to memorize.
This sock is worked cuff-down with a heel flap. The slipped stitch pattern on the heel flap flows into the heel turn and becomes part of the sole, where it hides the gusset decreases, creating a heel structure that is both sturdy and elegant. On the leg, eyelet borders allow the geometric colourwork pattern to stand out from the rest of the sock.
Instructions are provided for three sizes: S (M, L), with 60 (70, 80) stitches per round. The colourwork pattern is charted only. You may use any technique you prefer for knitting a tube in the round.
You are free to sell anything you make using this pattern, but please do not sell the pattern itself or otherwise claim it as your own.
Digital patterns are non-refundable.
