Unley Chill Beanie
A fun beanie design that is one of my go tos for gifting and charitable donations. As it works up quickly and is easy to make, it’s also a perfect market stall item. The design is unisex in appeal and the basket weave is a cosy and comfortable fabric. If you’ve not tried basket weave before, this is the perfect simple pattern to learn it.
Top with a pom pom for a feminine touch, or follow the messy bun/ ponytail instructions for a beanie that is very much on trend.
Pair the beanie with a simple basket weave scarf, or basket weave cowl.
The example beanies in the images have been made with 100% wool. The wool I have used is a thickish Australian 8 ply. This is compatible with some thinner Worsted yarns. The beanie also makes up fabulously in wool mix fibres and acrylic fibres.

I hope you enjoy making your Unley Chill Beanie.
