Up, Down & All Around
Up, Down and All Around is a pair of socks where one sock can be knitted cuff-down and the other toe-up, yet both socks turn out absolutely identical. Perfect for those with Second Sock Syndrome or for trying out a new style of sock knitting.
The all over stitch pattern is a simple combination of purled, knitted, slipped and small cable stitches and is easily memorized. It creates an interesting stitch texture that allows for a range of gorgeous sock yarns, especially speckled ones, to shine.
The pattern includes instructions on how to do the two-stitch cables with or without a cable needle – an opportunity to learn a new technique that will speed up your knitting whilst being a fun and gentle introduction to this method.
