This crocheted lace shawl takes inspiration from the phoenix, a mythological creature that bursts into flames at the end of its life only to be reborn from the ashes. The feather/flame motifs grow as the shawl grows; coming from a double crochet base and blossoming into an open mesh. The final fiery edging adds an energy and liveliness to the finished piece. The repetition of motifs makes this project breeze by, all the while keeping your attention. This rectangular shawl is a perfect addition to a spring/summer wardrobe, and can be worn in a variety of fashions.

You need 2 skeins of Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Silk Singles and a US size F hook. Color used in the pattern was the Yarnover Truck exclusive color - Campfire.
