I love those graphics that trick the brain into thinking it’s seeing something in 3-D that is really two dimensional and really wanted to recreate such an image in blanket form. I chose two contrasting colours to really bring out the illusion. It makes it hard to properly focus on the image, almost like it’s constantly moving. It’s a really fun effect and is as enjoyable to look at as it is to make it!

This is a really big blanket crocheted in one piece rather than several blocks that are then joined together. The finished item is cosy and hardwearing, ideal for picnics or as an extra cover-up on a cold night.
