Utukku is part of the ebook Ghosts: historiographies, cultural manifestations, and the knits they’ve inspired.
Ribbons dance around the yoke of this whimsical lace and stockinette hooded cardigan.
The numerous ribbon rows allow you to wear this cardigan in many ways: open, with ribbons streaming. Closed at the neck, with one lovely bow tied. Choose a wider ribbon in a contrasting colour for a more dramatic effect.
Or, use no ribbon at all and wear it open, perhaps with a pin.
Utukku is an almost entirely seamless knit, worked from the top of the hood down. It is knit flat, save for the sleeves which are in the round.
