Beginning at the center with a pinhole cast-on, a diamond shape is created with a strong accent color. Half of the stitches are put on hold while the first side of radiating chevrons is worked, using the relaxing stitch patterns of garter, stockinette, and simple eyelets. Frequent color changes create a bit of a fade while keeping the knitter excitedly working “just one more row.” The second half is then worked identically to the first, with no need to pick up stitches. This is the ideal project to take with you on your weekend getaway, and the perfect accessory for the next time you head out of town.
