Inspired by the hardy, evergreen leaves present in the forests of the Pacific Northwest year-round, the Vaccinium Mitts use a combination of cables and rapid increases to create a texturally pleasing leaf motif surrounded by snug ribbed fabric for a comfortable fit.

Vaccinium Mitts are worked bottom up in the round with a thumb gusset. After the thumb increases are complete, the increased stitches are put on hold and put back on needles later to finish the thumb. The thumb is composed of simple stockinette to allow for ease of movement at the joint.

This pattern provides both charted and written line-by-line directions.

This design is part of LEAVES- The Sun and Fog Fall 2022 collection.
