Vaila Top
Designed as a layering piece, this tabard-style garment has a loose fit. The front and back pieces are worked separately, with the back being longer than the front; the shoulders are shaped with short rows, then joined using a three-needle cast-off. A corrugated rib neckline in is added, then the sides are finished with corrugated rib button bands, allowing the garment to be worn with closed or open sides. Mary Henderson’s design features pretty Fair Isle colourwork motifs knitted in four shades of Rowan’s soft, smooth Summerlite 4ply cotton yarn.
