I wanted to contribute something fun to knit to the madness, which is somehow mad and pretty unusual, but not a pain knitting. I think that worked out quite well.

They are:

• Knitted flat
• Knitted with an afterthought heel
• Full of easy and repetitive cables
• Sewn together, allthough this is REALLY easy to do!
• Addictive
• AND (that’s what I would say is really important!) they’re super stretchy! Doesn’t look like it? I know. But cables and ribbing go perfectly well together and the knitters with a high instep had no problem, they fit really good!

Materials:

• Fingering weight sock yarn with 320-420m/100g (350-460yds/3.5oz).
• 100g main color, 20-30g contrast color.
• Original: JRusch Designs Platinum Sock Yarn, Colors “Lagune” (main color) and “Schweinchen” (contrast color), 420m/100g(460yds/3.5oz)
• Needle of choice in your common needles size to accommodate up to 70 stitches as the leg and foot are knit flat.
• Cable needle, darning needle & 2 stitch markers in different colors.

Sizing:
S (M) L - 58 (64) 70 stitches
19.5 (21.5) 23.5 cm - 7.5 (8.5) 9.25 Inch circumference
Length is adaptable.
The sock is mainly worked flat, except for the heel and toe. It‘s sewn together with a decorative seam.

This pattern was the round 1 pattern for the Fast-Knitting Competition “Sock Madness”.

Ich wollte eine spaßige Anleitung zur Madness beitragen, die schon ein bisschen verrückt ist und auch ungewöhnlich, aber trotzdem super von der hand geht. Ich denke, das ist mir bei den Socken gut gelungen.

Sie sind:

• Flach in Reihen gestrickt
• Mit einer nachträglichen Ferse versehen
• Voller einfacher und sich wiederholender Zöpfe
• Zusammen genäht (keine Panik, das ist aufgrund der Randmaschen super einfach!)
• Klassisches “Suchtprojekt”
• UND (Das finde ich fast am wichtigsten!) sie sind super dehnbar! Danach sehen sie nicht aus, oder? Keine Sorge, Zöpfe und das integrierte Bündchenmuster regeln das schon. Die Madness-Teilnehmer mit hohem Spann hatten keine Probleme, die Socken passen richtig gut!

Material:

• Fingering Garn (Sockenwollstärke) mit 320-420m/100g.
• 100g Hauptfarbe, 20-30g Kontrastfarbe.
• Original: JRusch Designs Platinum Sockenwolle, Farben “Lagune” (Hauptfarbe) und “Schweinchen” (Kontrastfarbe), 420m/100g
• Nadel deiner Wahl in passender Nadelstärke. Es müssen bis zu 70 Maschen gleichzeitig auf die Nadel passen, da die Socken ja in Reihen gestrickt werden (Spitze und Ferse in Runden). Ich selber habe Rundstricknadeln mit 100cm Seil verwendet.
• Zopfnadel, Stopfnadel & 2 Maschenmarkierer in unterschiedlichen Farben.

Größen:
S (M) L - 58 (64) 70 Maschen
19,5 (21,5) 23,5 cm Umfang am Fuß.
Länge anpassbar.
Die Socken werden hauptsächlich in Reihen gestrickt, außer an der Ferse und der Spitze. Sie werden zum Schluss mit einer Ziernaht geschlossen.

Das Muster war die Runde 1 des Schnellstrickwettbewerbs “Sock Madness”.
