This is a cozy colorwork cowl to match my Valtavaara Hat for those cold autumn and winter days. Both are named Valtavaara after a Fjell in Kuusamo, Finland.

Worked bottom up in Finnsheep yarn.

One size, finished and blocked garment 32 cm wide X 44 cm long (12,5 inch x 17 inch)

GAUGE
28.5 sts x 29 rows/10 cm (4 inch) on 2 mm (0 US) colorwork

NEEDLES
2 mm (0 US) and 2.5 mm (1 US ) circular needles, 60 or 80 cm long.

YARN
Suoma Single, 100% Finnsheep Wool, fingering weight, 50 g/ 205 m/224 yards
1.5 skeins of Kupari (used approx. 300m)
1 skein of Valko (used approx. 200m)

Alternative yarn options: any fingering yarn approximately 300 m for Main color and approximately 200 m for Contrast color. Please note, that do to some long floats, a “sticky” yarn is a preferable option.
