A heavily cabled sock, Varda features rest rows, and a patterned heel flap. The sock is exclusively available through the Claire Ellen Sock Club until Sept. 2014, or via kits from Wooly Wonka yarn.

Varda is one of the Valar from Tolkien’s larger mythology. Her other names are Elbereth and The Lady of the Stars. I chose a yarn with a bit of tinsel woven through, to add a bit of sparkle. I recommend a solid or semi-solid color to show the pattern at its best.

The sizing options are set up for 64/72/80 stitches; the high stitch count due to the inelastic nature of the cabling.
