Vārpa is a timeless V-neck cardigan featuring a relaxed silhouette and straight sleeves. The star of the design is the captivating, leaf-like stitch pattern. Paired with seamlessly integrated ribbing, it gives the piece a refined, well-structured look while maintaining its organic charm.
Vārpa is the Latvian word for an ear of wheat – and once you see it in the stitches, you can’t unsee it. The texture begins to feel like a quiet walk through a golden wheat field.

Vārpa is worked sideways in columns with the hem ribbing worked seamlessly with the body. The back and both front parts are crocheted separately, the sleeves are made separately and then sewn on. The button band is crocheted right onto the front opening.
