Vårvinter Vest is a warm and comfy vest to keep you extra warm whenever you need it. Vårvinter is a season in northern Sweden in between winter and spring, when the sun is warm but there is still snow on the ground. It is a beautiful season to spend time outdoors and soak in the light. The collection of Vårvinter is inspired by this wonderful season up here in the north.

Vårvinter Vest is knitted from the bottom and up, back and forth in a broken rib stich throughout the vest. When you reach the armholes you divide the vest into three sections, and knit each front and the back separately. You join the shoulders with Kitchener stitch and will thereafter pick up stitches around the arm holes and make a finish in broken rib, and the same for the button bands. You may choose to skip the buttons if you prefer to wear your vest open.

The length is easy to adapt to your own style, by adding or removing length when knitting the body.

I recommend that you choose a size
with 5-15 cm positive ease.

Alafosslopi: 300, (350), 400, (500), 600 grams
Nutiden: 250, (300), 350, (400), 450 grams held double.

The amount of yarn may differ if you choose one of the yarn alternatives or another yarn. You may need more than the suggested amount if you choose another yarn or have a different gauge.
