Designed to showcase beautiful yarn, the Vega Shawl is a long narrow right-angled triangle shawl with an elegant textured stripe.

This versatile asymmetric shawl features long length along the increase edge. This means the shawl is excellent for wrapping around the neck and shoulders and the tip can be tied or tucked in neatly.

The shawl is knitted lengthways in one piece as a narrow right-angled triangle shape. After set-up, the shawl shape is formed by increasing 1 st at the end of every 4th row.

The stitch pattern consists of garter stitch ridges on a stocking stitch background which is repeated throughout the shawl until the border is reached. The border is knitted in garter stitch. The main stitches used in the shawl ar k (knit), p (purl) and m1 (make 1 stitch by working into the horizontal bar between stitches).

To knit the Vega Shawl you will need 2 x 100g skeins, a total of 450m/ 492yd, of Zakami Hand Dyed DK Yarn.
