Venus skirt
Venus was the ancient Roman goddess of love, beauty, and desire.
The Venus skirt is knitted seamlessly from the top down with an all-over feather and fan lace pattern. The waistband is folded, and an elastic band is added at the end.

Finished hip circumference: 85 (93.5, 102, 110.5, 119) (127.5, 136, 144.5, 153) cm / 33.5 (36.75, 40.25, 43.5, 46.75) (50.25, 53.5, 57, 60.25) inches, intended to be worn with zero or slight negative ease around the hips
Finished waist circumference: 60 (65, 75, 85, 95) (105, 115, 125, 135) cm / 23.5 (25.5, 29.5, 33.5, 37.5) (41.25, 45.25, 49.25, 53.25) inches,
Length from hem to waist (adjustable): 65 (65, 70, 70, 70) (75, 75, 80, 80) cm / 25.5 (25.5, 27.5, 27.5, 27.5) (29.5, 29.5, 31.5, 31.5) inches
Yarn
660 (730, 800, 880, 970) (1070, 1170, 1290, 1420) m / 720 (800, 880, 960, 1060) (1170, 1280, 1410, 1550) yards of DK weight yarn.
Sample: 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) (5, 5, 6, 6) skeins of Ritual Dyes Undine DK (60% cotton, 40% linen; 250 meters / 273 yards per 100 g), shown in the colorway Tiger’s eye.
Needles
For the waistband:
3 mm / US 2.5 DPNs or a circular needles with a cable of at least 60 cm / 24 inches
For the main part:
4 mm / US 6 circular needles with a cable of 80 cm / 32 inches for sizes 1-5 or 100 cm / 40 inches for sizes 6-9
Gauge
20 sts and 26 rounds = 10 cm / 4 inches of lace pattern according to Chart 3 worked on the larger needles in the round, after blocking. Always use the needle size that gets you the right gauge!
