The shawl is knit sideways in rhythmic garter stitch, with contrasting stripes that stop just short of the edge, making this a nice introduction to intarsia. The curved triangle shape is easy to wear in either the shawlette or shawl size.

4” = 20-22 sts and 44-48 rows in Garter Stitch, blocked. Precise gauge is not required for this project.
Note: yarns shown have a recommended gauge of 24-32 sts to 4” in Stocking Stitch.
