El Chal Veritas está inspirado en la Basílica de la Sagrada Familia del arquitecto A. Gaudí, máximo representante del modernismo catalán.

Se trata de un chal triangular asimétrico que consta de tres paneles: el primero, un calado que evoca la fachada de la Natividad, rica y elaborada; el segundo, formado por cinco columnas de trenzas de puntos deslizados, que representa una de las torres de la basílica; el tercero, en punto arena, sobrio y sencillo como la fachada de la Pasión.

El chal comienza por la punta inferior con un montaje de lengüeta y va aumentando 1 punto en las vueltas del derecho de la labor en el borde izquierdo. Primero se prepara el panel de la Natividad. Una vez que ya tienes los puntos necesarios, se comienza el panel de la Torre mientras se sigue tejiendo el panel de la Natividad. De la misma forma, cuando se tienen los puntos necesarios, se comienza el panel de la Pasión mientras se siguen trabajando los otros dos paneles. De esta forma, puedes tejer el chal tan grande como quieras, con una, dos o tres madejas. Cuando quedan unos 15 g de hilado, se hace un cierre en perpendicular mientras se trabaja el borde final. Para que te sea más fácil seguir las vueltas de cada panel, he puesto un cuenta-vueltas al final del patrón.

HILADO
Puedes usar cualquier tipo de hilado desde el fingering hasta el DK ya que puedes hacer el chal tan grande como quieras.
En la muestra se ha usado una madeja de Silky Singles de Feliz y punto (50% seda de morera, 50% fine merino) (440 m/100 g) del color Olive Poetry.

MATERIALES

• Agujas de 3,5 mm y cable de, al menos, 80 cm. Si usas un hilado más grueso, también deberás usar agujas más grandes.
• Hilo de desecho.
• Marcadores.
• Ganchillo de 4 mm (para el montaje provisional).

MEDIDAS FINALES
Dado que el tamaño del chal es personalizable, las medidas que se indican aquí son para un chal de una madeja de Silky Singles de Feliz y punto.

Intermedio. Necesitarás saber (en las abreviaturas y en las instrucciones escritas encontrarás vídeos de todas las técnicas):

• Montaje provisional a ganchillo.
• Montaje de lengüeta.
• Aumentos simples.
• Disminuciones inclinadas a la derecha y a la izquierda tanto del derecho como del revés y retorcidas.
• Trenzas con puntos deslizados.

The Veritas Shawl is inspired by the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia by the architect A. Gaudí, the top representative of Catalan modernism.

It is an asymmetrical triangular shawl consisting of three panels: the first, a lace panel reminiscent of the Nativity façade, rich and elaborate; the second, formed by five columns of slipped stitch cables representing one of the spires of the basilica; the third, in sand stitch, sober and simple like the Passion façade.

The shawl begins at the lowest point with a garter tab cast-on and increases 1 stitch on every right-side row along the left edge. First, the Nativity façade is prepared. Once you have the required number of stitches, you begin working the Spire panel while continuing to work the Nativity façade. In the same way, once you have the required number of stitches, you begin working the Passion façade panel whilst still working the other two panels. In this way you can make the shawl as big as you like, using one, two, or three skeins of yarn. When you have around 15g of yarn left, you work the bind-off perpendicular to the shawl, creating the final border at the same time. To make it easier to follow the rows for each panel, I have included a row counter at the end of the pattern.

YARN
You can use any yarn from fingering to DK weight as you can make the shawl as big as you like.
The sample shown used one skein of Silky Singles from Feliz y punto (50% mulberry silk, 50% fine merino) (440m/100g) in the colour Olive poetry.

MATERIALS

• 3.5mm needles and a cable of at least 80cm. If you are using a thicker yarn, you should also use larger needles.
• Waste yarn.
• Stitch markers.
• 4mm crochet hook (for the provisional cast-on).

FINAL MEASUREMENTS
As the size of the shawl is customisable, the measurements shown here relate to a shawl made with one skein of Silky Singles from Feliz y punto.
