This pattern was originally published in Knitting magazine but is now available from Fiona through her Ravelry store. It has been renamed Vron’s Jacket.

It is knitted using the ‘Knit 1 Below’ technique which is similar to Brioche knitting but working a stocking stitch fabric rather than a rib fabric.

to fit chest 34”, 36”, 38”, 40”, 42”, 44”, 46”, 48”

pattern calls for 2 colours of Mille Colori, 7 (8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 11) of main & 6 (6, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) of contrast

pattern notes:

“It is necessary to use circular or double pointed needles to work the stitch pattern as although the pieces are worked as flat pieces, one row is knitted in each colour with the same side of the knitting facing you before the knitting is turned to work the next 2 rows…”
