Very 1940s Snood
This is a recreation, using Shetland Cane Stitch, of a vintage snood that the designer formerly owned. You could embellish the headband with any number of flowers or frills, as was typical of snoods from the 1940s, or leave it plain for a sleeker look. With practice, you’ll master arranging your hair inside the snood to create fullness at the bottom. For the classic 1940s profile, style the front section of your hair into a high pouf with a couple of bobby pins placed through the holes in the netting just behind the headband.
The lace pattern is charted.
One skein will make two snoods.
