This small drawstring purse was adapted from a Victorian pattern found in Lady’s Guide to Knitting, Netting and Crochet by Jane Gaugain.

Though gauge is not crucial to the success of this project, the first 11 rounds of the sample measured 2” in diameter, yielding a finished bag of about 3 1/4” (8 cm) tall and 3 1/2” (9 cm) wide.
