This cozy little scarf is worked in beautiful cable pattern from one tip to another. It’s a quick knit and a perfect use for the leftover yarn from a bigger project. The size is easy to adjust.
At first you will increase stitches until you come to the center of the scarf and then decrease towards the other tip. The pattern includes both charted and written instructions. The cables are worked without a cable needle.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Length from tip to tip: 46 ½” / 118 cm
Center depth: 5 ¼” / 13.5 cm

YARN
approximately 185 yds / 170 m fingering weight yarn and laceweight mohair to be held together or DK-weight yarn if working with a single strand.
Can be worked in almost any yarn weight but this of course affects the yarn consumption and the size of the scarf.
The sample is shown in Filcolana Arwetta (230 yds / 210 m per 50 g; 80 % merino, 20% nylon) in color 383 and Filcolana Tilia (230 yds / 210 m per 25 g; 70 % mohair, 30 % silk) in color 101.

NEEDLES
US 6 / 4 mm needles (both circular and straight needles work well)

NOTIONS
row counter
tapestry needle for weaving in the yarn ends

GAUGE
36 sts and 30 rows in cable pattern = 4” / 10 cm, washed and blocked
The gauge is measured from the scarf. If measured from a square shaped swatch, it’s probably closer to 28 sts per 4” / 10 cm.
