Vienna Top
General Information
To fit a bust of: 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 cm.
Gauge: 33 rows x 21 sts for a square of 10x10 cm on 4mm needles.
Ease: about 10 negative cm.
Materials: 2 small buttons, a darning needle, a sewing needle, 4mm circular needles, short and longer. 2 colors of mohair yarn.
Amount:. 2 (2) 2 (2-3) 3 (3) skeins of main color Kremke Silky Kid 25 grams. For the second color you probably need about half a skein.
Yarn: 2 colors of mohair, I used a white mohair left-over and about 2 skeins or less of Kremke Soulwool mohair. (size XS)
Description: the pattern is knit top-down with raglan increases to shape the yoke. The top is knit in 1 strand of mohair, alternating between a main color and an accent color. The body is split after completing the yoke and then the body is knit straight down after connecting the front and back with under arm stitches. The sleeves are finished off neatly and then two buttons are sewn on the neck to close it up in the back.
Note for bigger sizes: for the bigger two sizes, the body might not fit as snug as the smaller sizes because of the bigger bust measurements (from tester experience). I don’t consider myself to be qualified enough to grade proper body shaping so feel free to do so yourself. Body shaping can generally be created by decreasing under the armpits on the body every few rows but I suggest you try this out yourself. A tester also noted the top being quite stretchy and suggests sizing down for a tighter fit for the bigger sizes.
