Vine Lace Cowl
This delicate little cowl is the perfect way to fill in the space above the collar of your winter coat, and can also substitute for a hat when you have your hair up. In the two larger sizes, it will be a more substantial neck warmer. The elegant lace pattern from Barbara Walker’s Treasury, has been adapted for working in the round for a simple, seamless accessory. This is a great project for a yummy luxury yarn or a single skein of handspun- even if you only have enough to make it a few inches long, it will still keep your ears warm!
The lace pattern will take some concentration, but there is no shaping to complicate things.
Materials:
150 (300, 525) yards of sport weight yarn (I used Road to China Light by the Fibre Company- it’s delicious!)
16” (24”, 29”) circular needle, size 6 (or the size needed to get the correct gauge)
One stitch marker
