A tribute to the crafty ladies in our lives…
This blanket has been inspired not only by my love of granny squares but also by memories of wonderful crochet and knitted blankets around me as a child.

Visiting my Nanna’s houses was always a favourite thing to do and there was very often a colourful crochet or knitted creation around to wrap up in at night. For many of us, those clever and creative ladies are also often the ones responsible for guiding us on our first crafting steps and so I wanted to pay a little tribute to them.

Pattern Notes
A Modular blanket made up of different size square motifs which are joined and a border applied. Vintage Sweethearts blanket was originally released in parts as a CAL for the Crochet Now magazine in 2017/8 (Issues 14-26). Now available as one complete pdf.

Intermediate
This blanket is aimed at those who already know how to crochet. It uses basic and some intermediate crochet stitches and a basic sewing technique to join. It may be suitable for confident beginners who are familiar with the basic stitches and reading written patterns.
