Vintage Throw & Afghan
In 5 or 7 colors
When is an afghan an afghan? And when is it a throw? It’s all about the size. We like a little throw for our lap or our shoulders, while an afghan’s made to curl up under—and not always alone! This one’s a scaled up version of Pam Reece’s crocheted baby blanket. The handsome, nostalgic stitch is at home in any decor.
Bea White, our favorite math whiz, helped us come up with clever color sequences that have the cheerful look of randomness but use up your colors in roughly equal measure. A simple two-color sequence is nice, too.
