This is the cover project on Let’s Knit! Magazine 40, March 2011: Little Book of Bags supplement. It is a cabled tote bag in chunky yarn with long knitted handles on curtain rings. The outside is knitted with cables and contrast-colour bobbles, and it has a knitted lining with pocket.

The pattern requires 3 x 100g of the recommended yarn in main colour; 2 x 100g of recommended contrast yarn; 5.5mm needles; cable needle; stitch holder; 4 safety pins; 4 curtain rings 28mm dia.; 30cm zip.
