This garment is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armholes.
The front and back are knitted flat using the ‘brak ‘n eke’ method which is commonly used in Whalsay, Shetland. There is a steek for the neck but this can easily be used for the armholes as well if the ‘knitting flat’ doesn’t appeal.
