Vivi pullover
The Vivi pullover is the sister pattern of my Vivienne pullover. It uses the same cables as the Vivienne pullover but without the honeycomb pattern. The Vivi pullover has a boxy fit and dropped shoulders. It is knitted seamlessly top-down with a cable pattern on the front, the back and the sleeves.
The cable pattern is charted only, no written row-by-row instructions.
The sweater is started at the back neck and then increased to the full width of the back. After that stitches are picked up along the sloped shoulders for the fronts. The pieces are joined at the underarm and the body is then knitted in the round. The sleeve and the neckband stitches are then picked up from the body and worked in the round.
The length of the body and sleeves are easily modified to suit your own body measurements. I recommend trying the sweater on every now and then while working on it to make sure you get the perfect length for your style.
For the stitch patterns to show best, I recommend choosing unicolor or slightly tonal colorways. The Vivi pullover is worked by holding one strand of fingering weight yarn together with a strand of silk mohair but you can also knit it with a single strand of DK weight yarn.
