This shawlette or scarf is worked sideways and forms a sharp V, which makes it easy to wrap around the neck.
Instructions on how to make a bigger shawl are included in the pattern - both for a longer and wider version and one that is just longer. The repeat is easy to memorize once you get into it, and the shawlette knits up quite quickly.
