Vogue Cardigan
Enjoy 30% off with the coupon code VOGUE until January 7th.
Vogue is a loose-fitting cardigan featuring a modified shoulder construction. It is worked seamlessly from the top down in stockinette stitch. Shoulders are worked separately, then stitches are picked up along the yoke edges to join the back and fronts. Short rows are used to shape the shoulder slopes. The back and fronts are worked separately until reaching the underarms. After casting on extra stitches for the underarms, the back and fronts are joined, and the main body is worked flat until the desired length is reached. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes, and the sleeves are worked top-down in the round. The hem and cuffs are worked in 2x2 rib. Stitches for the neckband are picked up from the neckline and worked in 2x2 rib. Finally, the button bands are worked in 1x1 rib, and seamed to the left and right fronts using mattress stitch. Buttonholes are created using a custom method. Step-by-step instructions are provided for the entire knitting process.
This tutorial gives you detailed step-by-step instructions for the whole process, including written instructions, charts, photo- and video-tutorials.
