These mittens are inspired by colours and patterns in an “åkle” (blanket) that I once saw in Holøstua at Maihaugen museum. You can use similar colours, or maybe a blanket or bedspread close to you can inspire you?

The pattern suggests two different colour combinations, the first with eight colours, the second with seven colours. The pattern also provides a chart that you can use to colour with your own colour ideas.
