In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy.
For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.” - Albert Camus

Vrilles (meaning tendrils in French) are fingerless mitts that use stranded colorwork inspired by the thriving greenery in cold winters.

This design was part of the Eden Cottage Yarns Super Secret Seasonal Stash Box for Winter 2020. The rising tendrils and flowers depict nature thriving in the cold and dreary winter, thereby putting things in perspective for us that no matter how difficult the times may be, we all can certainly find ways to keep calm, be hopeful, stay strong and “be alive.”

The pattern is both written and charted.
