This is a crescent shaped shawl made with 3 colours. The body of the shawl is mostly twisted rib stitches with a combination of little stitch patterns to create the textures. The border is worked with two-colour brioche and uses basic brioche increase and decrease sts.

Finished Measurements: Length between tips: 70” (178cm), depth: 19” (48cm).

Yarn: Light fingering weight yarn in three colors:
C1: 330yds (300m) (pink in sample)
C2: 300yds (275m) (yellow) (dominant colour in border brioche section)
C3: 530yds (485m) (variegated)

Sample uses Bear in Sheep’s Clothing Luxury (50% Wool, 50% Silk, 495m, 100g)
C1: Smoke, C2: Protista, C3: Millpond.

Needles: US size 3 (3.25mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
US size 5 (3.75mm) needles, or needles 2 sizes larger than gauge needles, for bind off.
(Circular needles will be required for the brioche section.)
I’m a tight knitter and used the same size needles for both twisted rib and brioche, if you are a loose knitter you may want to go down a needle size for brioche.

Gauge: 28 sts and 40 rows = 4” (10cm) in 1x2 twisted rib (k1tbl, p2) after blocking.

Notions: 1 cable needle, stitch markers (optional).
