Walkin in a Winter Wonderland Revisited
Starting at the neck, you’ll work in the round with the main color, creating a loose, ribbed turtle-neck that extends to the shoulders. You’ll then begin the colorwork chart in CC1 and CC2, finishing the bottom with the MC and CC1 in a simple, contrasting colorwork pattern. The hem of this fun poncho is done in a broken rib stitch. The poncho, in this one-size pattern, is approx 12 inches from the shoulders to hem (hitting just above the elbow), with the ribbed collar approx 7 inches tall (may be folded down or worn up as shown in the picture). The poncho as shown here is approx 50 inches around.
To increase the width of the poncho, add another 32-stitch repeat (each additional repeat add approx 5 inches to the circumference). To add length to the poncho, work additional plain rounds of CC1 and CC2 before and after the colorwork; you may also want to add more plain rounds of MC in the Broken-Rib hem. Remember to add an extra skein of each color you will increase!
Directions are charted and written.
